WEATHER UPDATE: EXTREMELY LOW HUMIDITY
Some incredibly low humidity levels were recorded across the north west today. A widespread chunk of northern New South Wales was below 10 per cent.
At 11:30am Moree recorded a reading of zero per cent. This means the dew point went to -50 degrees. When this kind of dry air mass sweeps in from the desert areas, it can drive bushfire levels to catastrophic.
Needless to say there was no cloud formation over the north west and very little elsewhere. Another fine, mostly sunny day tomorrow with south-west to south-east winds for most.
