ANDREW STONER TO QUIT POLITICS
Deputy Premier and Oxley MP, Andrew Stoner, has announced he’ll quit politics at the March state election.
In a press conference this afternoon, Mr Stoner said his family faced a tough time recently and his job had prevented him from being there for them.
“I have no job lined up.
“This is about placing my family first,” he said.
Mr Stoner has held his mid north coast seat since 1999 and has been National Party leader for the past 11 years.
He’s the second New South Wales politician to call it quits today, with Terrigal MP Chris Hartcher also announcing he’ll retire in March.
