HUNT CONTINUES FOR HIT AND RUN DRIVER IN COFFS

Police are still on the hunt for the driver of a car who fled the scene of a crash, after allegedly running a red light in Coffs Harbour’s CBD yesterday evening.

A woman and her child were taken to hospital with minor injuries after their four wheel drive came to rest on its side at the Pacific Highway and Harbour Drive intersection.

“This cowardly act by a callous person, not only to cause the accident but to flee the scene, shows very bad form in character and it’s time to give himself up,” said Inspector Darren Jameson from Coffs-Clarence police.

Police say the wanted man is Caucasian, 170 centimetres tall and in his mid-twenties.
