WATER RESTRICTIONS LIFTED IN THE KEMPSEY SHIRE
As of Tuesday, residents living in the Kempsey Shire will no longer be on water restrictions.
Level Three Restrictions were put in place in July, however the recent rainfall means the Steuart McIntyre Dam is at 71-percent capacity, and is slowly increasing.
The region has recorded 150-millimetres of rain in the last fortnight.
Kempsey Shire Council says it will continue to monitor the region’s water supply, and may need to introduce restrictions again in Summer.
