A program aimed at improving employment opportunities for indigenous job seekers was officially launched in Kempsey on Thursday.
The North Coast and Hunter Vocational Training and Employment Centre will provide participants with job-specific training that guarantees employment at the end of the program.
Participants will also receive mentoring and post-placement support.
“I am absolutely optimistic that we are going to change the circumstances that they are now – the future for tomorrow is going to be a fantastic future.”
The nation-wide program aims to have 5000 job seekers in the work force by July 2015.
