He’s finished third on the Red Bull Air Race series two events in a row, but Merewether pilot Matt Hall believes it’s only a matter of time before he graces the top of the podium.
“The guys that are beating me, they’re being very aggressive and only beating me by a couple of hundredths of a second so we’ve definitely got room to improve,” he said.
Hall will spend the next week in Australia before heading to the UK for a race of a different kind at Royal Ascot.
“It’s going to be a spectacular race, racing on Royal Ascot there with the crowd in the stands looking down on the planes, they’re planning to do a different type of race there where we’re doing a static start, a light goes green and it starts from take off.”
