Gold Coast Health is at the centre of an investigation after admitting around 48-thousand x-rays taken since September last year weren’t examined by specialist radiologists.
As a result two patients have had what the hospital has described as “adverse outcomes.”
“It is a very big number I accept, but it is a group of very very low risk patients.”
It’s since recommended the state government appoint an independent expert to investigate.
