Former Deputy Prime Minister Doug Anthony has received the highest honour from Southern Cross University at a graduation ceremony in Tweed Heads today.
The Former Member for Richmond says he’s thrilled to receive the honorary doctorate for his continued service to Northern New South Wales.
“A bit bewildered you know, I’m not used to wearing this sort of gown you know or a hat like this but my word, it’s a great day for me.”
“His real passion is the Tweed Valley, he likes there now..obviosuly with my MUM there passion has been supproting the arts.”
Doug served as member for Parliament for more than 26 years.
