Tamworth police are appealing for witnesses to a hit and run incident last weekend.
A 54-year-old woman was walking across Kable Avenue at around 6.30 on Saturday night, when she was struck by a car.
She was taken to Tamworth hospital in a serious condition, suffering a broken leg and cuts to her body.
The car is described as a late 90s or early 2000 model silver Holden Commodore with damage to the passenger side.
