WEATHER UPDATE: RECORD BREAKING END TO WINTER/START TO SPRING
The record breaking heat killing off Winter 2013 will continue, making for a record breaking start to Spring.
It is likely to be the hottest Fathers Day on record for Melbourne. Those abnormally high temperatures will continue to affect the broadcast region during the first week of Spring and has the potential to make it the hottest start to the new season for decades.
Tomorrow some high level cloud is going to make its way across the region, you can see that jet stream cloud building now over SA. Little to no rain is likely as the air mass under it is too hot and too dry.
That cloud will clear for Fathers Day.
Fantastic conditions for boating with onshore winds building in the afternoon but over all remaining fairly light.
Surfers, the morning session will be the pick making the most of the westerly winds and tide.
