Interport has defeated the Deadstars 13 runs to 3 after 7 innings in the A grade final of the Tamworth Baseball Association’s annual June tournament.
It’s the second year in a row the Brisbane-based side has won the tournament, taking home the John Carter memorial trophy in the competition’s 44th year.
The three-day tournament attracted 37 teams from across New South Wales and Queensland.
Mother nature even held off the rain until the finals were over.
