Cessnock resident David Atwell, will run for the Hunter’s Federal seat in September.
Mr Atwell said he is very pleased to be representing the Hunter. “As a local I have a good insight into the major issues for our electorate. There are increasing community concerns about the adverse health and social effects of coal seam gas and coal, in the Hunter Valley, as well as a feeling that viable agricultural industries are being sacrificed to these extractive industries,” he said.
