CENTRAL COAST WOMAN WHO DROWNED KIDS IN CANADA RETURNS HOME
A Central Coast woman, who drowned her two young sons in a bathtub in Canada, has returned to Australia.
Allyson McConnell admitted to drowning her sons, two-year-old Connor and 10-month-old Jayden in a bathtub in Alberta in 2010.
She was sentenced to six years jail but the 34-year-old was released after spending 10 months in a psychiatric ward.
McConnell arrived at Sydney airport this morning and is expected to return to Gosford with her mother.
Her former husband, and the father of the two boys, Curtis McConnell fought to keep Ms McConnell in Canada until the appeals against her six year sentence and acquittal on second-degree murder charges were heard.
