LEGAL FIGHT MAY HEAD OUT OF CITY
A man and woman charged in relation to the murder of highway patrol officer David Rixon have applied to have their cases heard outside of the city, during an appearance at Tamworth District Court today.
47-year-old Sharon Strudwick is accused of hindering the discovery of evidence – as is a 22-year-old man.
They are also charged with acting to pervert the course of justice.
Both will reappear before the court on Thursday, where a judge will review the application for a venue change.
Senior Constable Rixon died after he was shot during a routine traffic stop in March last year.
