A man has been arrested and taken into custody after a lengthy high speed chase with Police down the Pacific Highway this morning.
The driver turned onto Orara Way, before allegedly reaching speeds of up to 170 kilometres an hour, prompting police to terminate their chase due to safety concerns.
His car was found a short time later, crashed into railing on the corner of Eastern Dorrigo, and Orara Way.
The man was eventually arrested in a corn field, after being chased on foot down Thrower Avenue.
