Former Newcastle Jets fan favourite Joel Griffiths could find himself at the centre of an A-League bidding war, with reports Sydney FC and the Western Sydney Wanderers are both chasing his signature.
New Sky Blues coach Frank Farina has admitted his club is desperate for more fire power up front, while the Wanderers have only scored five goals in nine games so far this season.
Griffiths’ contract with Shanghai Shenhua recently expired and it’s believed he’s hoping to have a deal done by December 15, to give him time to prepare for a start in January.
