London 2012 Olympic Games gold medallist Tom Slingsby and Paralympic gold medallist Liesl Tesch have been honoured at the New South Wales Institute of Sport Awards overnight.
Slingsby was named Male Athlete of the Year in a strong field consisting of fellow gold medallists Malcolm Page, Nathan Outteridge and Iain Jensen.
Tesch who claimed gold in the Skud 18 alongside Daniel Fitzgibbon, won the Career Development and Outstanding Achievement awards.
Tesch was also a finalist in the Female Athlete of the Year category while Nathan Outteridge and Iain Jensen were finalists for the Regional Athlete of the Year and Team Athlete of the Year.
