A 61-year-old woman was abducted from a cafe on Clarke’s Beach at Byron Bay around four o’clock yesterday morning.
Reports say the woman was cleaning a cafe alone when a man broke in and threatened her with a weapon.
It’s alleged he stole a small amount of cash and alcohol from the site, before forcing the woman to load the items into her car.
The woman was then released and notified officials.
