A heated Newcastle Council meeting has created more unwanted attention for the Lord Mayor, John Tate, who’s become embroiled in controversy.
The Independent Commission Against Corruption has received information from three Newcastle councillors, including and allegation that a Newcastle newspaper ordered at least one of its journalists to slant reporting in favour of the lord mayor leading up to the local government elections.
