Two rescue helicopters were called to a serious road accident, north of Newcastle this afternoon.
Six people including children, were injured in the head-on collision between a people mover and sedan on Woodberry Road at Millers Forest, at around 2.30.
The 26-year-old driver of the sedan is in a critical condition in John Hunter Hospital. The 17-year-old female, learner driver of the van was also seriously injured.
