The Police helicopter and a dog squad have been called into the search for a man who allegedly robbed the Hungry Jacks restaurant at Hexham this morning.
The offender appeared to have a silver handgun and made off toward nearby railway tracks. He’s thought to be hiding on a coal train in the rail corridor.
Rail services were suspended while police searched the area but have since resumed.
I was stuck on the train for almost 2 hours.. missed my 11am lecture. Big inconvience
I’m sure the people who got held up (who are also my work mates) are really sorry for your inconvenience. I mean I’m really sorry too that they could have got shot and you missed your lecture. Not such a big deal now is it?
