The Gold Coast’s Jesse Campbell has come away with a close victory over local fighter Allan Snow in Ballina’s Junior Boxing Tournament at the weekend.
The pair battled for four tiring rounds – with neither managing to get the other on the ground.
In the end, Cambell was named champion on a narrow point score difference.
The night also had a lighter side – with players from the two Ballina football codes swapping a ball for boxing gloves.
Willie O’Donnell took on league opponent Steve Marcon – though the match wasn’t scored, with the audience having to decide the winner.
