A cyclist is in a critical condition after being hit by a car in Pokolbin yesterday.
The cyclist was thrown from his bike when he collided with a Toyota Hilux on Broke Road just after 4pm.
The rider came to rest 20-metres away on a gravel driveway, causing serious head injuries.
The cyclist was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital, while the driver was taken to Cessnock hospital for blood and urine testing.
