A woman was dragged 50 metres along a road after being hit by a car in Mayfield last night.
The 45-year-old male driver of the car was travelling westbound on Maitland Road when he struck the 57-year-old woman.
She hit the windscreen and became caught on the driver’s side mirror before being dragged by the car.
The woman was taken to John Hunter Hospital suffering a fractured hip and right ankle, and abrasions to her hands.
The driver hasn’t been charged and police are asking for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
