Installation of CCTV cameras in Byron Bay will begin in just two months.
It’ll see the city centre completely fitted out with camera’s just in time for the peak tourism period in December.
Up to 22 camera’s will be installed from Apex Park, spanning the entire CBD area.
It comes after Byron Shire Council was successfully granted $200,000 under the Australian Government’s safer streets program.
There will also be more lighting installed on the corner of Bay and Johnson streets.
