A tree in Lennox Head has become a flashpoint in a debate about sacred sites and heritage.
Today, protestors gathered around the Castle Drive fig-tree to prevent its removal.

The mother of that 12yr old girl failed to mention that, this crowd of supposedly responsible/caring adults, knowingly encouraged and assisted a minor onto a designated work site. A 12yr old girl, a 14yr old boy and a 55yr old woman illegally entered that site Monday morning. Putting themselves, the workers and emergency services in danger. If any of them were injured there would have been hell to pay, but the fact one of the police officers and a security guard were actually injured seemed some sort of humorous victory to these ill informed public resource waisting individuals.
