Two dead, one escapes after car crashes into river in northern NSW
Two men are believed dead after a car crashed into a river in northern New South Wales overnight.
It’s believed the car crashed on Droneys Bridge Road, over the bridge into the Richmond River, at Fairy Hill, north of Casino, at about 10pm.
A 22-year-old woman passenger managed to escape uninjured.
A recovery operation is now underway to retrieve the car.
It’s believed the bodies of two men remain inside it.
Road closures are in place and drivers are asked to avoid the area.
