Woman and two girls, 11 and 13, arrested after alleged assault at NSW school

A woman and two girls were arrested at a NSW school today after staff and police were allegedly assaulted.
Police were told an 11-year-old and a 13-year-old had allegedly assaulted staff members after they attempted to assault another student on Butler Street in Armidale in the state’s Northern Tablelands.
No students were injured but four staff members were treated for minor injuries including two who were taken to Armidale Hospital for further treatment.
Both girls were arrested during which the 13-year-old girl allegedly assaulted one of the officers.
Police said a 34-year-old woman arrived at the school during the incident and allegedly verbally abused staff and police.
She was issued a move on direction by police but she allegedly refused and was arrested.
During the arrest the woman allegedly resisted police before being taken to Armidale Police Station.
She was charged with refusing to comply with direction, hindering or resisting a police officer in the execution of duty, and intimidating a police officer in execution of duty.
The woman was refused bail to appear before Inverell Local Court today.
The two girls have been released pending further investigations.
