PEARCE SET TO REMAIN IN TOP JOB

Uralla mayor Michael Pearce looks set to remain in the top job, after so far receiving more than 43 per cent of the vote in yesterday’s local government election.
It is a substantial margin for the incumbent, with Bob Crouch so far claiming only 21 per cent of the vote.
Uralla Shire was the only council in the region to decide their mayor by popular vote – official results are expected tomorrow.
