BELMONT DRIVER ALLEGEDLY FIVE TIMES OVER THE BLOOD-ALCOHOL LIMIT

A driver has allegedly been caught five times over the legal limit, shortly after being denied entry to a licensed premises in Lake Macquarie yesterday.
Hotel staff at the venue on the Pacific Highway notified police after man drove off in a Subaru station wagon just after 2pm on Friday.
Police located the man in his vehicle a short time later in a carpark on Macquarie Street in Belmont.
He returned a positive breath test, and later underwent a breath analysis that resulted in a reading of 0.263.
The 34-year-old was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice and is due to appear at Belmont Local Court next month.
