TLC FOR BUDD PARK

One of Murwillumbah’s favourite open spaces, is having a facelift.
Work has begun on a $450,000 project to stabilise the Tweed River bank at Budd Park, to prevent further erosion.
The upgrade will feature native gardens, picnic tables and shelters.
“A lot of people come here for photos for weddings and kids formals. Probably I’d say by the 10th of December, in that time we should have the project finished – stage one and people will be able to start visiting.”
Council’s also promising better views of the river.
