Central Coast Council is among some of the states LGA’s with the highest representation of female lifeguards in New South Wales.
There are 92 staff rostered across the region’s 15 patrolled beaches, 17 of them are women.
The achievement comes off the back of International Women’s Day yesterday, with council aiming to increase that number next patrol season.
