TAREE WEST 4TH IN HOCKEY KNOCKOUT

Taree West Public School’s girls hockey team has finished 4th at the State PSSA Hockey Knockout Competition in Lithgow.

The girls went down to Grafton Public in their first semi final, 8 goals to 1, while Middleton Primary School narrowly defeated them in the elimination final.

It’s the first time in six years that the Taree school has made the finals of the competition.

Coach Louise Barriball says the team is already looking forward to next year, in the hopes they can become state champions.
