Rise in dangerous jetski riders prompt calls for law changes

The behaviour of jetski riders at Port Stephens is back under the microscope, with calls for a state government crackdown.

The local mayor fears it’s only a matter of time before someone is seriously injured.

TRANSPORT FOR NSW STATEMENT:

‘Transport for NSW is currently looking at a range of measures to address poor behaviour by some jetski operators.
 
‘Transport works closely with local and state government and has already offered to work with council to identify measures to ensure the safety of all users and equitable use of the waterways.’
