The development of a $17-million Food Manufacturing and Innovation Hub on the Central Coast has been given the green light.
The Ourimbah facility is expected to create 200 jobs.
Federal Member for Dobell, Emma McBride says “it will help businesses and start-ups expand, and small to medium enterprises to train staff and try new products.”
And that “it’s really important for the Central Coast and manufacturing.”
Construction at a site on Brownlee Street will begin early next year.
In the meantime, an interim hub will be run out of the University of Newcastle’s Ourimbah campus.
