Second person dies after car hits cyclists in Armidale, NSW
A second person has died after a fatal crash in northern New South Wales on the weekend.
At about 3.30pm on Saturday, a car and several cyclists collided on Long Swamp Road, Armidale.
The car then crashed into a tree.
One of the cyclists, a man aged in his 60s, died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.
Three other cyclists, including a teenage boy and two adults aged 57 and 39 – were taken to hospital in a stable condition.
The driver of the car, a 30-year-old woman, was trapped and had to be cut free.
She was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
Yesterday, she died in hospital.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
