Newcastle sat pretty in first place with an impressive rider rating of 4.89 stars.
That’s just 0.11 stars off total perfection.
Newcastle was also in first place in 2023.
2. Cairns
The tropical paradise of Cairns is home to the country’s second best Uber passengers.
Riders in the Far North Queensland city managed to keep an average rider rating of 4.88 stars in 2024.
3. Wollongong
Wollongong in NSW was crowned equal third place with the Gold Coast in the country’s metro areas for Uber passenger ratings.
The seaside city also had a rating of 4.87 stars.
3. Gold Coast
A bit further down the Queensland coast, Uber passengers were slightly more well behaved.
Gold Coast riders earned an average rating of 4.87.
4. Sunshine Coast
It was even better on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland in 2024.
Uber passengers in the sunny city were given an average rider rating of 4.86 stars.
