Missing man rescued after going overboard bulk carrier

A man who went overboard from a cargo ship near Newcastle is recovering in hospital, after he was found by fishermen off Lake Macquarie.

The missing crew member swam for 18 hours in open water – and health officials say he’s lucky to be alive.
