A man has been killed in an alleged hit-and-run in regional NSW.
The man was found by emergency services on the New England Highway at Harpers Hill in Maitland at about 9.30pm last night.
He was allegedly hit by a car that had failed to stop.
The man in his 30s was treated by paramedics however, he died at the scene.
He has not yet been formally identified.
Detectives from the crash investigation unit have begun looking into the alleged hit-and-run.
