CHARITY FUNDING HELPS CANCER COUNCIL TRANSPORT NORTHERN RIVERS PATIENTS

Hundreds of community projects will receive a share of more than $20-million, thanks to the Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation.
Here in the Northern Rivers, a portion of the funds has gone to the Cancer Council, helping it purchase new vehicles to transport patients to hospital.
“Just this year alone we’ve actually transported just over 2,600 patients to and from treatment, so that enables us to do this. Without this support we wouldn’t be able to.”
Other charities benefiting include the Ronald McDonald House and the Grafton PCYC.
