Man charged with murder after woman dies in Coffs Harbour hospital
A man has been charged with murdering a woman in New South Wales after she died in hospital yesterday.
At about 5.25pm on Wednesday, October 2, police were called to a home on Ocean Parade, Coffs Harbour, over concerns for somebody’s welfare.
Police found a 58-year-old woman with facial injuries.
She was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police were told a 30-year-old man who had been at the home had left before officers arrived.
At about 10.10am on Sunday, October 6, Queensland police arrested a 30-year-old man in Park Ridge, Logan, on outstanding NSW warrants.
He appeared in Brisbane court yesterday, where a request for his extradition to NSW was granted.
At about 12.30pm yesterday, police were told the 58-year-old woman had died in hospital.
The man was taken to Tweed Heads Police Station in NSW and charged with a domestic violence murder.
He was refused bail and will appear in court today.
