Rewind Series 4 Episode 11 – Creative Arts Pub Art

In our early years of broadcast, NBN cameras travelled to all corners of our region to cover the creative side of life.

An exhibition in Taree, a fundraiser in Muswellbrook. Art shows gave local creatives the chance to be discovered.

Cessnock High School students presented more than 400 works indicating their ability to understand and be part of the art world in 1970.

The Gosford Annual Art Prize was held at the Shire Library. Over 40 artists presented works to be judges by Sir Russell Drysdale.

And the concept art in local pubs proved popular with patrons. A novel idea, great for business.
