QS SERIES DEBUT FOR NYXIE RYAN

Competing at her first ever Qualifying Series event, Nyxie Ryan got off to a perfect start at the Port Stephens Pro.

Thrown into the deep end in the final 6000 point event of the year.

Having struggled to find waves with scoring potential early, the 16-year-old found her momentum towards the back end of the heat.

“Finding a nice section here and throwing her head up under that turn, that was a pretty good combination there, a smaller looking in between wave.”

A two wave total of 7.36 enough to see Ryan secure safe passage into round three.
