A North West public school has become the region’s first to take out a prestigious rugby shield.
Farrer’s first XV are celebrating their maiden Waratah Shield victory.
The side defeated Central Coast Grammar 7-0 in the All Schools State Championship last weekend.
Despite a tough run defending in the first half, just one try to Farrer in the second was enough to secure the win.
Farrer also reclaimed the Robson Shield, defeating Terrigal High School 29-11.
