Lifesaving World Championships Gold Coast

Koch stars with sizzling swims for Australia

The Central Coast’s Jimmy Koch will be looking to add to his medal tally at the Lifesaving World Championships on the Gold Coast across the weekend.

In the gruelling 200-metres with Obstacles, he stopped the clock in a sizzling one-minute-53….but had to settle for second behind his Polish rival – who smashed the World record.

Koch also picked up a silver representing Australia in the 200-metre Super Lifesaver event.

He’ll now focus on the surf competition with the Burleigh Heads club.
