Motorists in the Manning and Great Lakes are competing for the title of ‘safest driver’, with the local councils encouraging residents to make a road safety pledge on their websites.
Over the next few weeks both Greater Taree and Great Lakes Council will also monitor the number of speeding motorists in each local government area.
Results will be posted on message boards on Manning River Drive at Glenthorne and Macintosh Street in Forster.
