MORGAN CIBILIC DOMINATES OPENING HEAT IN JAPAN

Merewether’s Morgan Ciblic, has dominated his opening heat at the 6000 point world qualifying series event in Japan.

Contested in small, inconsistent waves, Cibilic was patient early on, posting an early five point nine.

He tried something spectacular to launch himself into top spot.

Cibilic finished well in front of his nearest rival to advance to the round of 96, where clubmate Jackson Baker will begin his campaign.
