$3.4 MILLION ANNOUNCED FOR PRELIMINARY MOREE FREIGHT HUB WORKS

Moree is one step closer to becoming the location of the north-west’s intermodal freight hub.
The proposed freight terminal would act as a state-wide distribution point for large quantities of agricultural products.
Deputy Premier John Barilaro and Minister for Agriculture Adam Marshall today announced $3.4 million dollars of funding toward the project.
The allocated funding will be put towards building roads and improving access around the proposed site.
It’s estimated that the first train will roll into the hub in 2025, with preliminary works currently underway.
