NORTH WEST DAMS GO FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH

The region’s dams are going from strength to strength thanks to recent rain fall.
Tamworth Council-owned Dungowan Dam remains at 100 per cent capacity, with excess water last week topping the spillway.
Chaffey Dam currently sits at 34 per cent, of its new 100,000 gigalitre capacity.
Meantime Liverpool Plains Council has welcomed the decent falls, with Quipolly Dam rising 1.8 metres in the past week.
The dam needs a further 100 mills of rain to hit the catchment’s new spillway level.
