Two people have been refused bail in Tamworth local court today after a police say they found guns and drugs in a Tamworth motel.
Officers were called to Goonoo Goonoo Road just before 1PM yesterday to reports of a domestic violence incident.
Police were told a man staying at the motel approached a 31-year-old woman – known to him – in a van parked outside his room before producing a firearm and making threats.
The woman notified the manager of the motel and fled the location.
A 36 year old man and 19 year old woman were arrested and police allegedly found four firearms, a stun gun, cocaine and heroin stashed in the motel room.
The pair will return to court later this month.
